What this site collects, why, who handles it for us, and how long we keep it.
This site is run by Relocating to Cyprus ("we"). For anything about your data, email contact@relocatingtocyprus.com.
The consultation form asks for your name and email, and, if you choose to tell us, where you pay tax, your situation, your timeline and a message. The download forms ask only for your email. We use what you send to reply to you and to send what you asked for, and for nothing else.
Form messages reach our inbox through Web3Forms, a form delivery service. We keep an enquiry for as long as we need it to deal with it and any work that follows from it.
The site has a chat assistant, Andreas, that answers questions about moving to Cyprus from this site's own guides. It is an AI assistant, and its answers are general information, not tax, legal or immigration advice.
What you type or say to it is sent to Anthropic, which writes the reply. If you hear the replies spoken, the reply text is sent to ElevenLabs to be turned into audio. If you talk to it, the recording of what you say is sent to ElevenLabs to be written out as text; we do not keep the recording. The assistant only uses your microphone after you tap its microphone button and your browser asks your permission.
To stop the assistant being misused, we use your IP address to limit how often it can be used in a short time. Please do not enter confidential or sensitive information into it.
We keep a record of each conversation for up to two years: what you asked, what the assistant replied, the page you were on, the time, your approximate location (country and city) and the type of device and browser you used. We do not store your IP address with it. Instead we keep a one-way code made from it, which only lets us tell that two conversations came from the same visitor. We read these records to see what people want to know, to improve the answers, and to follow up if you ask us to. The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in running and improving the site. Conversations are not used to build a profile of you and are not linked to your identity unless you give us your details.
If you send your details from the short form inside the chat, we receive your name, your email and a summary of the chat, through Web3Forms as above, and use them only to reply to you. If you follow a link from the chat to the consultation form, its message box starts with a summary of your chat, which you can edit or delete before sending. That summary is kept in your browser's session storage, which is cleared when you close the tab.
The site is hosted by Vercel. Like any web server, it handles your IP address and browser details to deliver the pages. Visits to relocatingtocyprus.com may be counted with Vercel Web Analytics, which does not use cookies. The fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, so your browser fetches them from Google.
This site sets no cookies of its own.
You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it or delete it, or object to how we use it. Email contact@relocatingtocyprus.com and we will reply within one month. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
We do not sell your details or share them with anyone for their own marketing.
If what we collect or who handles it changes, this page changes first, and the date at the top moves with it.
